Office Workstations

Policy

Murdoch University is committed to providing and maintaining safe workstations in the office environment. To this end, all office workstations shall be ergonomically designed and adjusted to the requirements of the individual. Office workstations used by more that one person shall be designed such that they can be adjusted by all operators.

Managers and Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that the provision of furniture and equipment at the workstation are sufficient for the needs of their employees and that employees receive necessary instruction, training and supervision in its safe and correct use.

Employees shall maintain the office environment in a safe manner and ensure that their workstation is adjusted to suit their requirements in accordance with the procedures set out in the Guidelines to this policy.
