Murdoch University Institutional BioSafety Committee

Murdoch University recognizes the need to protect staff, students and guests from incidents involving potentially hazardous biological materials. Responsibility for ensuring that researchers conform to acceptable standards rests with the Institutional BioSafety Committee (IBC). The IBC also oversees research at Murdoch University involving recombinant DNA and genetically engineered organisms and ensures that such research carried out at Murdoch University follows guidelines issued by the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator (OGTR).
